Tyr Perfume (Galangal, Acacia, Galbanum, Spruce)

𝔗𝔶𝔯 ❊ Originally submitted for review through the patreon “Scentual Supporter” club, this unique verdant woody perfume was created for the Norse god of justice and sacrifice, Tyr, and thus bears his name. Via Interpretatio romana, he aligns in spirit with Mars, but wherein the less desirable qualities have been restrained. Though his lore is more mysterious than some of the other gods of the same pantheon, he has been called upon by warriors through his bindrune of Tiwaz runes, which stacked together resemble a coniferous tree. He is best known for sacrificing his hand to the Fenris wolf, in order to bind him with chains and save mankind from destruction, though he is often called upon to settle disputes. Valiant and revered, we use this scent to protect and guide us daily, through court cases where we seek justice, to mitigate disputes, and bring a level head. Martial agricultural herbs, aromatherapy oils of balance, and ancient forest spirit medicine all inform this blend for a verdant, woody instant favorite. Transcendent acacia blossoms and metallic Galbanum introduce the story, which reads as though it came from the Prose Edda itself. Galangal adds honor and movement, and compliments the rich melange of jammy evergreen in the heart notes. A firm base of woods and resins make for a steadfast and tenacious resolution.
'You must know victory-runes if you want to know victory. Carve them into your sword's hilt, on the blade guards and the blades, invoking Tyr's name twice.'
