SkaΓ°i… Norse goddess of winter and all it entails; we meet her in the Poetic Edda as she seeks vengeance for her father’s death, but ends up finding a husband in the sea god Njord, instead. Her icy heart could not leave her home, Thrymheim, nor could Njord leave the sea, and they soon part ways rather than compromise each other’s very nature. An allegory for winter turning to spring, as is the tone of her venerational fragrance. Her snowshoes upon freshly fallen coconut frost, narcotic moonlit florals awakening from their frozen slumber, ambrette wolf musk, a fantasy accord of yew, and cold birch sap flowing from tapped green wood. Ice may freeze you, but will also captivate. An enchanting, indescribable and unplacable aroma with an air of romantic fantasy.
