This Winter 25/26 capsule is inspired by the origins of vice-notes; edgy fantasy accords based on mind altering substances, whose appearance in mainstream perfumes is trending, yet offers only a shallow dive into the illicit. 𝔓𝔥𝔞𝔯𝔪𝔞𝔨𝔢𝔦𝔞 is a replatforming of these very botanicals and their derivations, in particular the origins as apothecary cures before their fall from grace. These fragrances contain no psychoactives, yet aim to imbue the wearer with similar physiological responses through aromatic properties alone. Part one of this collection offers an interpretation of the virtues of Euphorica (Narcotic/Anodyne/Soporific), Evasethetica (Visual/Nostalgic/Transporting), and Rhapsodica (Ecstatic/Jubilant).

The controversial poppy and sweet nocturnal jasmine may not have much in common as flowers, but are both known as Narcotic— for entirely different reasons. Whereas Papaver Somniferum has a reputation as “the joy plant”, a pain reliever forming the base of laudanum and opium, jasmine’s classification is due to inducing euphoria through aroma alone. Paired with numbing anodynes traditionally used in soporific papaver preparations, this rapturous brown floral evokes sheer bliss (with no side effects). 10ml jojoba base, Rose quartz rollerball.

Utilizing nostalgic scent recall (and no psychoactive compounds) to induce visuals of technicolor for a synesthetic green experience, laced with burnt orange. The dichotomous sweetness betrays the deadly cyanide within, which must be processed out in the distillation process before it reaches the consumer. Claviceps purpurea, or Ergot, is an unpleasantly psychedelic fungus which infects grain, whose outbreaks were speculated to be behind such mass hysteria as the Salem Witch Trials, and smaller incidences of collective hallucinations throughout history. Here, it is reimagined as a breakfast cereal. Mushroom, roasted barley and wheat bran create a fragrance that has no business smelling as good as it does. Contains gluten, but no actual ergot.

ℜ𝔥𝔞𝔭𝔰𝔬𝔡𝔦𝔠𝔞 - A sample sized free gift with full set! A sweet, whimsical and herbal green absinthe-mint soap, crafted from coconut, shea, and jojoba. Notes of Absinthe accord, Hyssop, Fennel, Peppermint, Wormwood, and Eucalyptus, infused with Ceremonial grade Matcha. Invigorating and joyous, blended for the physical “high” of using an icy herbal soap, in a hot shower, on a winter’s day, inducing a jubilant experience. Powdered green tea tightens the skin, while artemisia gathered on Walpurgisnacht banishes baneful spirits. For maximum potential, use on New Year’s Day, for cleansing away the past and beginning anew, and continue the ritual daily until the bar has all but melted.

Outstanding artwork by Brooklyn tattooer, artist-come-perfumer, and co-conspiritor Reiley Johnson (reileyjohnson.com ig: @whatreiley), inspired by coveted antique apothecary jars, emulated in this packaging. This collection was influenced in no small way by the late Dale Pendell, whose writings on the thin line between substance exploration and plant magic gave a generation of occultists the “poison path” travelogues we didn’t know we needed. their astrological leanings, and classifications. It is to honor his work and those who came before, that these perfumes are named for the genres of plants he unearthed in writings, or he himself coined to describe the “way of poisons”.
