Do you remember hearing your first mermaid story? A fairytale without a happy ending— how could the fable of a chimerical creature with legendary beauty belie such tragedy? Perhaps it was from your elders, or the townsfolk, yet a warning nonetheless. The sirens will hypnotize you, the rusalki will drown you, and once you go into their waters there is no turning back. ℭ𝔬𝔪𝔭𝔢𝔫𝔡𝔦𝔲𝔪 𝔬𝔣 𝔐𝔢𝔯𝔪𝔞𝔦𝔡𝔰 is a collection of fragrances from enchanted waters, inspired by these stories and spirits, and natural botanicals with marine elements. Much like a bedtime tale, a perfume can unfold in chapters without the use of synthetic molecules, relying on whole materials alone with complex interactions; clary sage, choya nakh, seaweed, and neroli are but a few, and rarities like pink jasmine and blue lotus suggest the salty sea air and dampened magic.

𝔖𝔢𝔞 ℌ𝔞𝔤 (2 seashell soap + 10ml Eau de toilette) A throwback to the realistic shells too special for small hands to use, that lived in nostalgic bathrooms as talismans in the mind of elders. A gothic, gnarled version of our 90s childhood favorites, these natural soaps are scented with a dark marine fragrance as bleak and beautiful as the coastal night air. The legend of sea hags can be traced back to English and Scottish lore, and appear in New England since the 1800s. A tragic spirit who waits on jagged jetties and lighthouse landings to crash ships and drag sailors to their death. A fittingly dark, yet haunting aroma is made with roasted seashell, neroli wax, dark patchouli and a botanical ambergris accord and can be heightened with the matching mini eau de toilette mist — perfect for scenting sea soaked tresses.

𝔖𝔦𝔯𝔢𝔫𝔞 (10ml perfume oil) a venerational aroma created for the mermaid loa of Haitian voudon. “(She) personifies the kabbalistic extremes of water or waves, as much aquatic as musical” (Ve-ve, Milo Rigaud). Her role is eternal and as deep as the ocean; from Venusian enchantress to watery mother of all life in the sea, and keeper of all its mysteries. Her many facets are as complex as the iridescence upon seafoam and her gifts of insight are numerous for her devotees, giving one the ability to see themselves through her mirror. She can be gifted champagne, melons, sweet white cakes, and coconut, but nothing from the sea (it is already hers). Her perfume is a lighter, clean floral demi-gourmand with vegan musk, perfect for summer’s end. Much like the original Little Mermaid fairytale, there is a melancholy bleakness associated with these tragic souls, yet they also are stewards of the field and forest. This Mediterranean grey sea salt soak is made with butterfly pea flower and blue chamomile to mimic forlorn waters, with blue yarrow for protection and energetic boundaries. Blue lotus, mugwort and Clary Sage enhance psychic activity and overall somatic attunement to the beyond, while rose heals the heart space. A brackish grey-blue sea salt bath designed for temporary euphoria and spirit-realm travel.

𝔒𝔫𝔡𝔦𝔫𝔢 (facial serum 15ml) Meaning "little wave" in French, the name Ondine has been given to a classification of folkloric siren-like water dwellers, sometimes mermaid and sometimes maiden, inseparable from the oceans or rivers themselves. In one particular tale, it is the name of a river nymph who curses her unfaithful husband to never sleep again. The spirits of water have a reputation for their beauty, but also trickery, sadness, and loneliness. In their honor, 'ondine' has also come to define a stormy seafoam color the shade of the melancholy Atlantic. This light argan and jojoba based facial serum awash with soothing blue fragrant oils, rich with chamazulene - a derivative of azulene, a natural substance found in tansy, chamomile, and yarrow, which turns a stunning blue when steam distilled with water. Scented lightly with neroli, made for nighttime use.
