A return of our holiday classic, Krampus is a limited batch perfume which first appeared in 2020, that celebrates the Germanic elements of Yule with a sinister twist. The cult of Krampus, the devilish and cryptozoological figure who kidnaps naughty children in his sack, originated somewhere in the Alps, and is believed to have developed in lore from tales of the Wild Hunt. On the 12 days leading up to new year’s day (presumably beginning on the Winter Solstice) Odin was said to lead a frenzied procession of the dead through hill and vale. It is quite surprising that both Krampus and jolly Santa both came from this same primal manifestation of the Allfather, but it is where falsities of Krampus leading the Hunt himself may originate.

This perfume of his name is surprisingly bright, as it was created as a Germanic Florida water to keep negative spirits at bay, and counteract the Saturnian forces taking hold. Bright blue yarrow, cleansing juniper and Bavarian forest trees protect and create a verdant boundary. Idunn’s apples uplift, and phallic clove lends a mulled cider note. Pfeffernuße spice for nostalgia while damp mosses bring Jovian energy.
