(perfume 10ml in grain based spirit) If there were two things Victorians were most obsessed with, it is death and flowers. Private greenhouses full of exotic plants served as a status symbol for those who could afford the most unique botanicals. Floral Goth perfume is centered around a fantasy accord of black batflower (Tacca chantrieri), a tropical blossom resembling the face or wings of a vampire bat. Velvety shades of black, purple and green, as well as the damp greenhouse soil serve as a shadowy curtain opener in the spirit based EDP version of this cult favorite fragrance, alongside a heart of nocturnal jasmine jam in strong black tea, black cacao, and sweet orris powder. Fleeting hints of a wooden pencil scrawling out a vintage valentine, spicy notes of nag champa and clove, replete with a base of rich patchouli, vanilla woods and vespertine wonders familiar, yet mysterious. An intensely dark and woody floral demi-gourmand, always all natural and cruelty free. This is a sneak peek limited launch which ships in time for Lupercalia. Meant to be worn with mourning black— will stain pale or bright fabrics.
